Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to local officials.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty rockets attacked energy facilities, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from local officials.
